Awareness movements

What it is

Movements like Greenpeace or Extinction Rebellion that alert about problems and seek to pressure authorities.

Why it is not enough

The political/cultural/economic/educational ecosystem is a balance involving many defense systems. For example:

• Finance leaders control the mass media and social networks. Progressive movements are therefore confronted with a lack of media power.
• The selection of political leaders is based on appearance, the ability to create alliances, and betrayal. Those with empathy and ethics are eliminated.

Frontal revolutions

What it is

Political movements such as anarchist or anarcho-communist movements that seek to change the organization of a complete society within a territory on the scale of a country.

Why it is not enough

Changing social organization is a very risky bet that can lead to crises and deaths; therefore, the population is reluctant to embark on experimentation.

Not carrying out testing/improvement cycles is dangerous (like the pitfall of communist planning).

The global political ecosystem fights what can transform it, for example the repression of the Commune or the Spanish Civil War.

Reformist political movements

What it is

These are left-wing movements seeking to reform capitalism incrementally.

Why it is not enough

These movements are located between awareness movements and frontal revolution. We can reuse a large part of the reasons from the previous two groups.

Constructive movements

What it is

Movements creating tools allowing for less centralized and more intelligent organization. For example Web3 or sociocracy.

Why it is not enough

The existing system configures and controls the tools to its advantage. For example

• Social networks are configured to highlight capitalist values.
• The Internet, basically highly decentralized, is used to operate increasingly massive and intrusive surveillance. To the point of approaching a very intrusive, intelligent (AI), and aggressive mass control allowing for ever more violent repression of activism.
• The takeover of TikTok US

Relative to the speed of degradation, the constructive movement is too slow. This slowness stems from the difficulty of access to moral/aesthetic/empathic/monetary motivation as well as to technical and scientific knowledge.

What works: the constructive revolution

That is what Awakening is:

A parallel society, initially without territory, but with the central elements of a society:

• Measure the collective good provided by individuals to provide motivation. In very simplified terms, it is a kind of currency that will later become the currency of this new society.
• Collect facts in order to be able to administer justice now or later (rewards as well as penalization).
• A social network (bubbles and Talk)
• Research, as scientific as possible.
• An imperatively resilient organization (protection against State espionage, duplication, etc.).
• An evolutionary decision-making process based on an unquenchable search for decentralization, collective intelligence, and anti-corruption.
• One rule above all: follow the long-term common good.

Why it works

• Making a society is pleasant, motivating. This allows for gathering many more people than the constructive movement.
• This society does not dilute itself in capitalism because it is autonomous and resistant. The ability to duplicate the society (or be reborn from destruction) allows it to withstand catastrophes.
• The supremacy of the rule of the long-term common good has broad implications, for example:
  • The argument that it would be unjust to judge by the rule of the long-term common good under the pretext of non-retroactivity or the principle of legality does not hold because this need for justice is anchored in humanity.
  • It becomes personally harmful to harm a constructive revolution (for example by seizing power or finances) because the rule being limitless, even if one causes the failure of a constructive revolution, another successful one will be able to penalize the wrongdoer.
  • It implies that people advancing the constructive revolution will be rewarded because it is always good to reward people improving the common good.
  • It allows us to satisfy our need for justice: there is no possible circumvention because it directly expresses our need.
  • Associated with a society beginning to implement it, the more people take it into account, the more it applies, and the more it applies, the more people take it into account. That is why it is self-fulfilling.
• The base of scientific and technical culture allows for rapid progress.

Why it might not work
